When You Obtain A Copy
When you obtain a copy of your credit report to begin working on repairing your credit you should first utilize your ability to obtain your credit report for free one time per year. Make sure you obtain your free credit report from all three of the credit reporting agencies so that you can compare the accuracy of the information contained within the reports from each of the three different credit bureaus. Many times one report may report different items than the other two reporting agencies. This is not due to inaccurate information, but because different creditors may only report to one or two of the different bureaus instead of all three of them.
